Enrollment Eligibility

When you join Affinity Credit Union, you become an owner of a unique financial institution that puts members first. We are a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution that is owned and operated by members - people who save and borrow money through us.

We have a service-centered tradition of helping our members achieve their financial goals since our founding in 1949. We care about your success. We listen to your questions and respond quickly with answers you can use, offering personalized solutions that meet your needs. That's members-first service, following the credit union philosophy of "people helping people."

We offer a full range of convenient financial services and have two locations to better serve over 11,600 member owners. At Affinity Credit Union your deposit accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (
NCUA) to at least $250,000.

In order to become a member of Affinity Credit Union a Share Savings account needs to be opened. The savings can be opened with a minimum $25 deposit. This declares your membership and entitles you to take advantage of our many other great services.

The Credit Union Difference - More Power for your Dollar

Unlike banks, members combine their savings to create a pool of funds, which any qualified member can borrow. What does this mean to you? Greater earnings! We return credit union profits to you through higher yields on savings and lower rates on loans, as well as dividends.

We offer our members products and services with low or no fees. You will also earn more on your savings and certificates and pay less on your loans.

Important Information About Procedures For Opening A New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
